Great place awesome customer service and hands on help with anything you need the owner even threw in free chemical for my goldfish pond so I could put them in right away love that place for all your summer needs
My relationship with Rob Dietter goes back at least 17 years when I had him put my outdoor pond in at my business, and another two in my home. Rob always did a very good job and was a pleasure to do business with him. My ponds always looked incredible for years after he installed and maintained them. In the past few years he had been a little more sloppy, his quality of work went down, his guys where late to appointments, and their was a general lack of communication at times. This was all acceptable because I realized he also runs an oil delivery business on the side (which we used at times). My most recent experience with Dietter's guys went terrible, his guys showed up late, made a mess inside and outside (mulch all over the place, dirt on the driveway, dirt on the front door), I had to clean up what they did around the pond, you could see roots from the plants, they didn't have any stone or mulch on the truck. But the worst part is they lost my fish, four fish went in and only three came back, Rob was rude, arrogant and scolded me on the phone for criticizing his work and didn't care that his worker had lost my fish (for my inside pond) without explanation. These fish are my pets. On top of this he made me cry. For someone being in the service industry he has no respect or compassion. He never said he was sorry. Never would recommend or use him again. After doing this to a long time customer imagine what he would do to you. He must want to get out of the pond business....time to retire...Rob.
You won't find greater expertise or a more helpful attitude when it comes to water features. Dietter's has been my "go-to" source for fish, plants, and everything else for years. They're the best, period.
I've been going to a store that I was unhappy with for years but really couldn't find anyone else to replace them until I was forced to after they closed up shop. I started searching the web for a new store to buy my plants and pond supplies from. I found Dietter's in my search and was pretty close to my house. I wound up driving by it twice but when I made it in the driveway and saw the massive supply of plants and fish I was home. You will not need to go anywhere else for anything pertaining to water gardens or supplies. They actually just did two ponds for me at my business and gave me a great deal. Go check out this hidden oasis in North Haven you won't be sorry.
Great service and they fixed my algae problem with just a simple "you need a few plants" amazing how fast it worked. Great experience!
